OESP – Ontario Electricity Support Program
The Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) offers a recurring monthly credit directly applied to electricity bills. Eligible recipients receive monthly credits ranging from $35 to $75, with the credit amount determined by household income, household size, and energy consumption levels.
Qualifying customers may receive enhanced monthly credits, ranging from $52 to $113, if they fall under the following categories:
- Indigenous customers or those residing with Indigenous family members
- Customers utilizing electric heating systems
- Customers reliant on electricity-intensive medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, mechanical ventilators, or kidney dialysis machines.
The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) oversees the administration of the program, while the Ministry of Energy maintains financial and programmatic supervision. To learn more about OESP, visit the Ontario Energy Board website.
